Chocolate chip bars

Ingredients

  • For 8x8 pan:

  • 1/2 cup Butter softened

  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate chips

  • For 9x13 pan:

  • 1 cup Butter

  • 1 cup Brown sugar

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups semi-sweet Chocolate chips

Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar for 4 minutes, until light and fluffy. Stir in egg(s) and vanilla and mix well
  • Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until incorporated
  • Stir in chocolate chips
  • Bake for 28-34 minutes, or until light golden brown
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares
